Male Pattern Baldness
Male pattern baldness is also known as androgenetic alopecia.
It begins with loss of hair from front side causing the receding of hairline. The hair thinning starts as the gap between two hair increases and eventually exposes the scalp.
The hair on the temples and crown portion start to become baby-like or Vellus; as the baldness proceeds through its advanced stages it disappears.
At the final stage of male pattern baldness just a band of hair is left on the back and on the sides of the head. The rest of the head looks completely bald.
Causes of Male Pattern Baldness
The main contributing factor to male pattern baldness is the action of male hormones on the hair follicles.
In men who are genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness, the androgens act on the hair follicles and destroy them. This is the reason male pattern baldness also gets the name androgenetic alopecia.
Experts also suggest that lifestyle factor such as poor nutrition, lack of sleep, low water intake, smoking, and mental stress too can trigger hair loss and contribute to male pattern baldness.
Common causes which trigger baldness in men who are genetically predisposed are:
Emotional stress
Erratic diet habits
Low water intake
Lack of sleep
Irregular lifestyle
Use of anabolic steroids or other supplements to gain lean muscle mass
Medications
What can you do about Male Pattern Baldness?
Depending on the cause of hair loss and the severity of the situation it may be unlikely that you can reverse male pattern baldness. However, we offer several programs for hair loss and hair and scalp issues.
Laser - Laser or low level light therapy has been shown to be beneficial to hair in several studies. Both in clinic treatments and hand held laser therapy is available. In addition, larger laser models can be bought for use in salons/ hair replacement studios.
Mesotherapy - Mesotherapy rejuvenates the dormant hair follicles by increasing the supply of oxygen and nutrients that go into the scalp. This is a similar biological process to Minoxodil however the most important difference is with Mesotherapy hair loss does not resume after stopping use but with Minoxodil hair will resume falling out as soon as you stop using it. In addition, Mesotherapy can restore your scalp matrix to youthful levels by delivering all necessary vitamins, minerals and amino acids for proper functioning of nutritional and energetic metabolism
DHT Inhibitors - These are products that either interfere with the conversion of Testosterone to di-hydro testosterone (DHT) or help to block DHT from binding to the hair follicle. DHT is the major cause of hair loss for both men and women. See why our products and are different and better than others.
Hair Vitamins - These products help to aid in growth of hair; either by inhibiting DHT and/or providing the vitamins and minerals that optimizes good quality hair growth. These products can be oral or topical.
Growth Stimulation - Your hair needs certain vitamins to grow to its fullest and thickest. Most people do not get enough of the right vitamins & minerals for their hair. Our hair Vitamins provide all the clinical proven vitamins and minerals but do much, much more. They block DHT and help grow hair.
Hair and Scalp Cleansing - These products are optimized to give your hair and scalp the nutrients that are needed without adding harmful chemicals like sodium laurel sulfate, cocamide DEA or alcohols which are found in 95% of shampoos. Most shampoos strip your hair of the essential oils that hair needs, ours do not. Proper hair and scalp hygiene and nutrition is the first step to healthier, thicker, fuller hair.
